Twisted: Knitting on the edge.

Twisted: knitting on the edge is curated by Kirsty Hall.
From October 3 - October 31.
October sees an exciting new exhibition opening at Bristol’s innovative Here Gallery. Timed to coincide with National Knitting Week (which takes place between the 14th and 21st October), Twisted: Knitting On The Edge is a group exhibition featuring 15 artists who are exploring the subversive potential of knitting.
The resurgence of knitting has been one of the big stories in craft in the last few years and this exhibition shows that contemporary artists are increasingly turning to knitting as both medium and inspiration. From the disturbing and challenging to the witty and unusual, freelance curator Kirsty Hall has chosen a diverse selection of work that includes sculpture, photography, book art, drawing and animation.

Today I installed the Burka.

New Burka pictures.

At last I took some time to make good pictures of the Burka. Thanks to Joyce who posed so patiently
under this warm object.
We made a videofilm as well, which I have to cut & edit now.
The Burka will be on show in Bristol from October 3 until October31, at the Here Gallery.

Karavaan

Tonight I saw 'The Vicky Vinex Road Show' by Daphne de Bruin& Joop van Brakel at Kunsteyssen. It was a great performance! My work was selected to hang in the foyer because it completed the feeling of this show.

Expo at KREK

KREK (Kunst Ramen Eyssen Kaaspakhuis).

From Juli 23 until September 10 I will show my project 'Stolen Identity' at KREK http://www.xs4all.nl/~peokx/gallkrek.html founded by artist Pé Okx. It is an artist-runned windowgallery in Alkmaar.
